These Terms of Use govern your access to iKnow QUIZ (the "Service"). By creating an account, signing in, or playing as a guest, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and at least 16 in the European Economic Area unless a parent or guardian has consented on your behalf. The Service is rated 12+ on the App Store; some content may not be appropriate for younger players.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: This application was developed in substantial part using AI-assisted code generation tools, including but not limited to Claude Code (developed by Anthropic). By using this Service, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:
When you create an account you are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and device secure. You agree not to share your account or use someone else's. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or Apple's App Store Guidelines.
QUIZ Plus is offered as an auto-renewing subscription with the price shown at the moment of purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. The subscription auto-renews at the end of each period at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Language packs, host packs, and power-up bundles are non-recurring purchases tied to your Apple ID. All purchases are final except where a refund is required by law or granted by Apple under their refund policy. We do not process refunds — Apple does.
When you create a quiz pack, upload an avatar selfie, or record a name pronunciation, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content for the sole purpose of operating the Service. You retain ownership. You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, hateful, infringing, deceptive, sexually explicit, or designed to harass another person. We may remove content that violates these Terms without notice.
You agree not to (a) reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service; (b) cheat, exploit bugs to harm other players, or manipulate leaderboards; (c) use the Service for commercial purposes without our written consent; (d) attempt to access another user's account or data; or (e) use the Service in any way that violates law in your jurisdiction.
Avatar generation uses OpenAI, voice rendering uses ElevenLabs, and authentication uses Supabase Auth and Apple ID. Their respective terms apply to those interactions. We are not responsible for the availability or behaviour of those third-party services.
The Service, its design, code, name, and logo are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you. The questions, quiz packs, and curated content distributed inside the Service are licensed for personal, non-commercial use within the app.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any defect will be corrected. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any quiz content, answers, scoring, or AI-generated features including avatars and voice clips.
The Developer shall not be liable for any:
MAXIMUM LIABILITY: In no event shall the Developer's total aggregate liability exceed the greater of Twenty Euros (€20.00) or the total amount you have paid to the Developer for in-app purchases in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so they may not apply to you.
BY USING THIS SERVICE, YOU VOLUNTARILY, KNOWINGLY, AND IRREVOCABLY:
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Developer, its affiliates, officers, agents, and any AI service providers (including Anthropic, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, and Supabase) from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; (d) any content or data you submit through the Service, including selfies, avatars, voice recordings, and quiz packs.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Account deletion is available in-app under Profile → Account → Delete account. We may terminate or restrict your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or Apple's guidelines. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be brought in the competent courts of Romania, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email at least 30 days in advance. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance.
